Al Joumhouria

Al Joumhouria (الجمهورية, "The Republic") is a Beirut-based Arabic political daily whose masthead dates back to 1924; the title was revived in its modern form in 2011 and competes at the political end of the Lebanese press alongside An-Nahar and Al-Akhbar.

The paper is strongest on Lebanese politics — cabinet manoeuvring, parliament and the long-running economic crisis — with regional affairs, opinion columns and the usual Lebanese mix of society and sport.
